Relays

Mors Smitt offers a wide range of highly reliable relays for on-board and trackside applications.

All our relays are designed by railway engineers to outlive the life time of a train.
Up to date more than 6 million relays are installed world wide.

For easy selection of the right relay for your application the relay selection guide is available on the right top of this page.

Mors Smitt Relay portfolio:

Dry circuit relays

Dry circuit relays can switch very low level signals.

Instantaneous relays

The contacts of an instantaneous relay pull-in when the coil is energized and drop-out when the coil voltage is off.

Latching relays

The contact of a latching relay pull-in with a voltage pulse is applied on the coil and drop-out with another pulse. This can be done by using two coils asisted by a mechanical or magnetic locking mechanism.

Monitoring relays

Monitoring relays have built in switching points, to monitor accurately specific input voltages or currents.

Time delay relays & Flashing relays

Time delay and Flashing have additional electronic circuits, creating specific timing functions of the contacts.
