Hall Effect Sensors

Hall Effect Sensors

Application

The Mors Smitt transducers are used to measure high currents in rolling stock and trackside applications. High currents are converted linearly to low power signals.

Description

The transducers are based on compensating the magnetic field by a closed loop system.

The MSA range is used for the measurement of AC and DC currents with high galvanic isolation between the current carrying conductor and output of the sensor. The current transducer can handle pulsed currents. The MSA range is specially designed for secure measuring of a high permanent current. The current measuring range covers a bandwidth from -2000 A...2000 A.

The MSV range is used for the measurement of AC and DC voltages with high galvanic isolation between the current carrying conductor and output of the sensor. The voltage transducer can handle pulsed voltages. The MSV range is specially designed for secure measuring of a high permanent voltage. The current measuring range covers a bandwidth from -5000 V...5000 V.
