Q Style / BR930 signalling relays

Q Style / BR930 signalling relays

Mors Smitt has expanded its wide range of relay products with the Q-style BR930 signalling relays manufactured by Mors Smitt UK Ltd. in Burton on Trent, UK. We have been manufacturing these relays since the 1960’s and have full Network Rail acceptance certification (formerly British Rail)

Successfully supplied throughout the world and originally known as Tyer, then as Field & Grant, STS Rail and now as Mors Smitt UK. There are over 150 relay designs currently being manufactured meeting the requirements of many railway operators including customer specific designs when needed.

ZA - BRB938A, 939A, BRB966 F2 & 968 D.C. neutral t…

The relays covered by BRB938A are for use on railways signalling track circuits not electrified on the 50 Hz AC system.
Q Style / BR930 signalling relays

ZB - BRB932A AC Immune DC biased line relay

The relays covered by this data sheet are for use in line circuits where operation of the relay is required to be dependant on the polarity of the current in the coil. They are also suitable when alternating current at industrial frequency may be present in the circuit.

ZJ - BRB935A & BRB936A D.C. Polarised magnetic sti…

  • The relays covered by BRB935A are for use where a self latching relay with a separate release winding is required.
  • The relays covered by BRB936A are for use in line circuits where operation of the relay is required to be dependant upon the polarity of the energising current and the contacts are to remain in their last position until the relay is re-energised in the opposite sense.

ZQ - BRB940A, BRB941A, BRB942 & BRB945 Lamp provin…

  • The relays covered by BRB940A are designed as lamp proving relays where the lamp is energised by a battery or rectified AC supply.
  • The relays covered by BRB941A are designed as lamp proving relays for AC circuits where the relay is connected in series with the lamp.
  • The relays covered by BRB942 are designed as lamp proving relays where the relay is
  • connected in series with the primary winding of the lamp transformer.
  • The relays covered by BRB945 are designed as lamp proving relays for flashing lamps with a DC supply. Typically BRB945 relays are used for flashing road signals at level crossings.

ZS - BRB930, 931A, 933A & 934A D.C. Neutral line r…

  • The relays covered by BRB930 are for general railway signalling purposes.
  • The relays covered by BRB931A are for use in line circuits where alternating current at industrial frequency may be present in the circuit.
  • The relays covered BRB933A are for use as DC repeater relays, having a delayed pick-up characteristic to bridge a gap due to loss of shunt or slow drop away of a track relay. These relays are suitable for use where alternating current at industrial frequency may be present in the circuit.
  • The relays covered by BRB934A are for use where a slow release, neutral line relay is required and alternating current at industrial frequency may be present in the circuit.
